The AmmbrTech team is delighted to announce the latest addition to our team, Mr Dean Bubley.
In his role on the Board of Advisors, Dean will be offering broader analyses of network infrastructure and software, telecom business models, voice/video communications and regulatory policy.
Dean’s reputation as a leading market observer and commentator in the telecomunications, mobile and networking indrustries is outstanding and, with more than 25 years of experience, there is no doubt that his ideas will aid in our pursuit of developing leading technologies.
He is a well-known figure at conferences and has written articles about 5G, WiFi, spectrum policy, blockchain and distributed ledgers, eSIM, the “future of voice and video”, mobile broadband, developer platforms and contextual communications. He is known as a contrarian, often with challenging opinions that go against industry consensus, but which often turn out to be accurate predictions of the future.
Dean also advises corporates and industry bodies on trends in communications service creation and monetisation, mobile devices, IoT, applications ecosystems, broad futurism and policymaking. His clients include many of the world’s leading telecom operators, vendors, regulators and industry associations.
Dean was formerly an equity analyst, covering communications stocks, with the UK arm of investment bank Robert W. Baird. Prior to that, he spent eight years at the UK research firm Datamonitor, where he co-founded the company’s technology business, managed the Internet and Networking area and custom consulting operations, with roles as Chief Analyst and Director of Consulting. He holds a BA in Physics from Keble College, Oxford University and is a native of London.
Dean has affirmed his belief in our potential to decentralize the internet and connect the unconnected, stating that “Ammbr is a fascinating blend of innovation, vision and pragmatism. It links network democratisation, blockchain, and a deep understanding of communities as well as mainstream technology use-cases. I’m pleased to be involved to help accelerate the reach of the Internet, and mitigate the risks of inflexible network monocultures.”
We are delighted to be working with Mr Bubley and we are convinced that his insights will offer tremendous value to the development of our blockchain based mesh WiFi technologies and solutions.
